I am fortunate that Alzheimers hasn’t been in my family, as yet. However, it’s hard not to escape it in our society and seeing people as they decline is heartbreaking. The landlord of our business was a charismatic, energetic character who didn’t recognise me the last time I saw him. A year later I found out he had given up work and was now looked after at home by a full-time carer. Bizarrely, we were house-hunting recently and we found ourselves looking around his house. I had never been to his house so it was only as the estate agent told us a little bit about the deceased owner I realised where we were.
One particular photo I’ll never forget is of him and his four brothers and sisters re-creating a summer photo from when they were in their teens. His siblings, who were all by now in their 70s, looked animated and happy. Our landlord had a blank expression on his face, not even aware what he was a part of.
Preventing Alzheimers
If we all knew how to prevent this terrible disease we’d do it in a heartbeat wouldn’t we? Instead we put it down to ‘one of those things’ or ‘something that everyone gets nowadays.’ However, just like many diseases there seems to be this attitude of giving our power to others when in fact the power is in our hands.

This book explains how bad long term stress is for humans AND it explains what we can do for and with our physical body to release the stress and improve our short and long term health. Fabulous research and information.
