We happened to be in London on Monday and decided to walk from Somerset House to Liverpool Street. On our way we walked past the Royal Courts of Justice. A large crowd of people were gathered outside – cameras, journalists and by-standers. Not one to miss a good story we decided to hang around and find out what all the fuss was about.
Julian Assange’s Plight
What no-one seemed to see was the man standing quietly at the front of the gates dressed as the grim reaper. When I saw his placards I had to go over and chat to him. He’s been following Julian Assange’s journey for years and was visibly angry when talking about the complete injustice being bestowed on him. We remarked on the media frenzy for celebrities and royalty and the complete silence when it comes to Julian Assange. Julian Assange has now been in Belmarsh prison since April 2019 and before that he spent seven years in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London.
Do Your Own Research
As always we advise you to do your own research. It is hugely complicated with many accusations being thrown at him – new ones after the original rape allegations. If he is extradited to the US many people believe he will be murdered. How can this happen in this day and age?
If you are being true to who you are we can stop these injustices from happening. Whatever job or work you do you’ll do it with a passion for truth and integrity. Because if you don’t you know that you will suffer, just as much as people like Julian Assange are suffering.
