Fear propaganda, addictions to screens and the pressure to live in a town or city are all pushing us away from nature and everything that grounds us.
We need to remind ourselves how we are all connected and that every action we take has a consequence.

The humans that have survived the cull now live in huge, sprawling cities. Their every move is monitored by the state. Anyone over the age of 70 is sent to live in a secure area to protect them from contagious viruses. They are not to see their family again for fear of infection.

An entertaining first novel especially if you appreciate ‘Mother Earth’.
4 out of 5 stars. Not having read many sci-Fi books this made a really nice change to my usual historical fiction. The book was very easy to read and the plot line entertaining. In some ways the book is very thought provoking with regards to how modern society functions and the author must have some sixth sense as this book must have been conceived well before the recent pandemic, yet in it humans wear face coverings for fear of disease. I’d definitely read any further books by this new author.
